The Procedure
Your breast lift surgery can be achieved through a variety of incision patterns and techniques. The appropriate technique for you will be determined based on:
Breast size and shape
The size and position of your areolas
The degree of breast sagging
Skin quality and elasticity as well as the amount of extra skin

Step 1
Anesthesia
Medications are administered for your comfort during the surgical procedure. Breast lift is usually performed under a general anesthesia.

Step 2
The incision
There are two common incision patterns:
-
Around the areola and vertically down from the areola to the breast crease
-
Around the areola, vertically down from the breast crease and horizontally along the breast crease

Step 3
Reshaping your breasts
After your doctor makes the incisions:
-
The underlying breast tissue is lifted and reshaped to improve breast contour and firmness.
-
The nipple and areola are repositioned to a natural, more youthful height.
-
If necessary, enlarged areolas are reduced by excising skin at the perimeter.
-
Excess breast skin is removed to compensate for a loss of elasticity.

Step 4
Closing the incisions
After your breasts are reshaped and excess skin is removed, the remaining skin is tightened as the incisions are closed. Some incision lines resulting from breast lift are concealed in the natural breast contours; however, others are visible on the breast surface. Incision lines are permanent, but in most cases will fade and significantly improve over time.Sutures are layered deep within the breast tissue to support the newly shaped breasts. Sutures, skin adhesives and/or surgical tape may be used to close the skin.

Step 5
See the results
The results of your breast lift surgery are immediately visible. The breast tissues are restored to a more youthful and uplifted position. Satisfaction with your new breast contour should continue to grow as you recover. Over time, post-surgical swelling will resolve and incision lines will fade.
Approached with care and restraint
Changes in breast position often occur gradually over time, influenced by pregnancy, breastfeeding, weight changes, and natural shifts in skin elasticity. These changes are not simply about size; they are about support, position, and proportion.
Our approach to breast lift surgery is about rebalancing the breast on the chest so it sits in a position that feels supported, natural, and aligned with the body, thoughtfully and with long-term outcomes in mind.
Who may consider breast rebalancing surgery?
This procedure may be appropriate for individuals who:
Notice a change in breast position or loss of support over time
Feel the breasts sit lower or feel heavier than they once did
Experience difficulty with clothing fit due to breast position
Are seeking improved balance rather than increased volume
Value natural-looking results and thoughtful planning

Our surgical approach
Each breast lift plan is developed as a surgical strategy rather than a standardized technique.
Careful assessment of breast position, tissue quality, skin elasticity, and overall body proportion guides every recommendation. In some cases, a lift alone is appropriate; in others, additional volume may be discussed. Surgery is recommended only when it meaningfully improves balance or comfort.
What this procedure may address
Breast rebalancing surgery may help address:
Descent of the breasts over time
Loss of upper breast support
Changes in nipple position
Discomfort or dissatisfaction related to breast position
Every surgical plan is individualized and based on anatomy.

Risks and Safety
The decision to have breast lift surgery is extremely personal, and you'll have to decide if the benefits will achieve your goals and if the risks and potential complications are acceptable. You will be asked to sign consent forms to ensure that you fully understand the procedure and any risks and potential complications. The implant-related risks listed below concern breast implants and should be discussed if you have implants or are considering adding them to your breast lift.
The risks include:
Anesthesia risks
Bleeding or hematoma formation
Infection
Poor healing of incisions
Changes in nipple or breast sensation, which may be temporary or permanent
Breast contour and shape irregularities
Breast asymmetry
Fatty tissue found deep in the breast might die (fat necrosis)
Fluid accumulation
Potential partial or total loss of nipple and areola
Deep vein thrombosis, cardiac and pulmonary complications
Possibility of revisional surgery
BiALCL (breast implant associated anaplastic large cell lymphoma)
Breast implant associated illness
These risks and others will be fully discussed prior to your consent. It is important that you address all of your questions directly with Dr. Smith.
Some women may want to consider placement of a breast implant in addition to the breast lift. An implant can provide improved upper breast fullness or cleavage. Implants can be placed at the same time or as a second procedure.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Understanding what a breast lift actually changes
A common misconception is that a breast lift will make the breasts fuller. While a lift can dramatically improve shape and position, it does not add volume.
Understanding the distinction between shape correction and volume enhancement is essential for setting realistic expectations and selecting the appropriate surgical approach.
What a breast lift is designed to do
A breast lift (mastopexy) is a repositioning procedure.
Its primary goals are to:
-
Elevate the breast to a more youthful position
-
Reposition the nipple and areola
-
Improve breast shape and contour
-
Tighten excess skin that no longer provides support
A breast lift reshapes the volume you already have; it does not create new volume.
Why breasts may look smaller after a lift
Many patients report feeling smaller after a breast lift.
This happens because:
-
Sagging tissue is repositioned upward rather than spread downward
-
Excess skin is removed
-
The breast mound becomes more compact and defined
The breast often appears higher and better-structured, but not larger.
What breast augmentation actually does
Breast augmentation is a volume procedure.
Implants or fat transfer are used to:
-
Increase overall breast size
-
Add upper pole fullness
-
Change breast projection
-
Alter proportions more dramatically
Augmentation changes the amount of breast tissue, not just its position.
Shape and volume are different factors
Sagging (ptosis) and volume loss often coexist, but they are distinct.
-
A lift corrects position and shape
-
Augmentation corrects size and fullness
Treating one does not automatically correct the other.
When a lift alone may be enough
A lift without augmentation may be appropriate for patients who:
-
Are satisfied with their overall breast size
-
Want improved shape and nipple position
-
Prefer a lighter, more compact breast
-
Do not desire additional upper pole fullness
For these patients, adding volume may feel unnecessary or excessive.
When a lift plus augmentation is considered
A combined approach may be appropriate when:
-
There is significant volume loss after pregnancy or weight change
-
Upper pole fullness is desired
-
Skin quality alone cannot support the desired shape
-
A lift alone would result in a smaller-looking breast
Combining procedures is a strategic decision, not a default recommendation.
Surgical planning
Expecting increased fullness from a lift alone can lead to disappointment.
Dr. Smith discusses shape and volume separately during consultation to ensure:
-
Clear expectations
-
Appropriate procedure selection
-
Reduced risk of revision
-
Long-term satisfaction
Sometimes the right decision is a lift alone. At other times, it is a combination; occasionally, restraint is the best choice.
Final perspective
A breast lift restores the shape and position of the breasts.
Breast augmentation restores volume.
By understanding this distinction and planning accordingly, Dr. Smith helps patients achieve results that feel balanced, intentional, and aligned with their goals.
A private consultation provides an opportunity to explore, with clarity, whether a lift, augmentation, or combination approach is most appropriate.
-
Choosing between shape restoration and added volume
One of the most important decisions in breast lift surgery is whether a lift alone will meet your goals or whether a lift combined with an implant is more appropriate.
These options address different problems, and selecting the appropriate option is essential for long-term satisfaction and stability.
What a lift alone accomplishes
A breast lift without implants focuses on repositioning existing tissue.
A lift alone may be appropriate for patients who:
-
Are satisfied with their overall breast size
-
Want improved shape and nipple position
-
Prefer a lighter, more compact breast
-
Do not desire additional upper pole fullness
A lift reshapes and elevates the breast but does not add volume.
Benefits of a lift alone
For the right patient, a lift alone offers:
-
Natural breast weight and movement
-
No implant-related maintenance
-
Reduced long-term complexity
-
Results that integrate naturally with the body
Some patients value simplicity and are comfortable with a refined, smaller-looking breast.
When a lift alone may fall short
A lift alone may not meet expectations when:
-
There is significant volume loss after pregnancy or weight change
-
Upper pole fullness is desired
-
The breast feels deflated rather than simply low
-
A lift would result in a smaller appearance than desired
In these cases, shape improves, but fullness may not.
What a lift plus implant accomplishes
Combining a lift with an implant addresses both position and volume.
This approach allows:
-
Restoration of upper pole fullness
-
Improved breast projection
-
Better control of breast shape
-
More flexibility in achieving desired proportions
The implant provides a structure that skin alone cannot.
Considerations with lift + implant
A combined procedure also introduces additional considerations:
-
The presence of an implant as a long-term device
-
Increased surgical complexity
-
The need for careful sizing to protect tissue
-
Long-term planning to reduce revision risk
This approach requires restraint and precise planning.
Why is a combination not always better
Adding an implant is not automatically the superior choice.
Oversizing or unnecessary implants can:
-
Increase tension on healing incisions
-
Compromise scar quality
-
Accelerate tissue stretch over time
-
Increase the likelihood of future revision
Sometimes, less intervention yields more durable results.
How Dr. Smith helps patients decide
During consultation, Dr. Smith evaluates:
-
Breast volume and tissue quality
-
Degree of sagging and skin excess
-
Chest width and body proportions
-
Desired appearance now and over time
-
Willingness to accept implants and future monitoring
Recommendations are made to align anatomy with goals.
Final perspective
A lift alone restores shape and position.
A lift plus implant restores shape and volume.
By understanding what each option can realistically deliver, patients can choose the approach that feels intentional, balanced, and aligned with their long-term comfort.
A private consultation provides the opportunity to explore both options honestly and determine which path is appropriate.
-
Clear expectations about surgical outcomes
A breast lift reshapes the breast by repositioning tissue and skin that no longer provides support. This correction requires incisions.
There is no breast lift that meaningfully changes shape without scars. The quality of the result depends on accepting the right scars in exchange for improved structure and balance.
Why scars are necessary in a breast lift
Breast sagging occurs because the skin and internal support have stretched over time.
To restore shape, surgery must:
-
Remove excess skin
-
Reposition the nipple and breast mound
-
Rebuild support within the breast
Each of these steps requires incisions. Scar length reflects the degree of correction required.
The myth of “minimal-scar” lifts
Minimal-scar techniques are often marketed as superior. In reality, they offer limited correction.
When scar avoidance is prioritized over shape:
-
The lift is inadequate
-
Breasts relax quickly
-
The shape looks temporary or incomplete
-
Revision becomes more likely
Smaller scars do not equal better results.
Scars are never made longer than needed, but they are a necessary part of breast lifting.
Matching scars to anatomy
Scar patterns are chosen based on:
-
Degree of sagging
-
Skin quality and elasticity
-
Breast size and weight
-
Nipple position
-
Desired shape correction
More significant sagging requires more extensive reshaping, and therefore more scarring. This is anatomy, not failure.
Common scar patterns in breast lift surgery
Depending on the correction needed, scars may include:
-
Around the areola
-
A vertical line from the areola to the breast fold
-
A horizontal line hidden in the breast fold
Each pattern serves a structural purpose.
Why accepting scars protects results
When scars are accepted as part of the plan:
-
Skin is not over-tightened
-
Shape is more stable
-
Scars heal under less tension
-
Long-term results are more predictable
Trying to avoid scars often shifts stress onto the minimized scar length, where it causes problems.
Scar quality vs scar length
Scar quality matters more than scar length.
Quality is influenced by:
-
Tension during closure
-
Surgical precision
-
Skin biology
-
Healing time and care
A well-healed scar fades. A poorly planned one draws attention.
How scars typically heal
Scars evolve over time.
Patients can expect:
-
Early redness or firmness
-
Gradual softening over months
-
Continued fading for up to a year or longer
Judging scars too early often leads to unnecessary concern.
Our team has many years of experience with surgical scars. We will walk you through our best practices to optimize your scar-healing experience.
A philosophy of transparency
Dr. Smith does not minimize the reality of scarring.
Instead, scars are discussed openly, including their placement, length, and expected healing, so patients can make informed decisions about their surgery.
Final perspective
A breast lift is a trade-off.
You trade scars for shape, balance, and restored position.
By accepting the necessary incisions and planning them thoughtfully, Dr. Smith creates breast lift results that look intentional, feel stable, and age gracefully.
A private consultation provides an opportunity to discuss scar patterns, healing expectations, and the degree of correction appropriate for your anatomy in a clear, honest manner.
-
A breast lift restores position; it does not stop time
A breast lift can dramatically improve shape, balance, and nipple position. What it cannot do is freeze the body in time.
Understanding how breasts age after a lift is essential for setting realistic expectations and making decisions that support long-term satisfaction.
What a breast lift changes, and what it doesn’t
A breast lift:
-
Repositions breast tissue and skin
-
Restores a more youthful resting position
-
Improves shape and contour
A breast lift does not:
-
Prevent future skin relaxation
-
Stop the effects of gravity
-
Eliminate changes related to weight fluctuation, pregnancy, or time
Surgery resets the clock; it does not stop it.
How breasts typically age after a lift
After healing is complete, breasts continue to respond to natural forces.
Over time, patients may notice:
-
Gradual softening of the breast
-
Mild descent of the breast mound
-
Subtle changes in shape
These changes are expected and usually occur slowly.
Factors that influence longevity
The durability of breast lift results is influenced by several factors:
-
Skin quality and elasticity
-
Breast size and weight
-
Degree of correction required
-
Surgical technique and tension management
-
Lifestyle factors such as weight stability
More dramatic lifts and heavier breasts may experience change sooner.
Why restraint improves longevity
Over-tightening skin or placing the breast too high may look dramatic early on, but it often shortens longevity.
Restraint allows:
-
Reduced tension on scars
-
Better skin healing
-
More natural aging over time
-
Lower risk of early distortion
Results designed to age well prioritize balance over extremes.
The role of implants in longevity
When implants are added to a lift, they influence long-term behavior.
Implants:
-
Add weight to the breast
-
Change how skin and tissue respond to gravity
-
May require future monitoring or revision
For some patients, implants enhance longevity by supporting shape. For others, they increase long-term complexity. This decision is individualized.
Revision is sometimes part of the journey
Even well-planned breast lifts may require revision years later.
This does not represent failure.
Revision may be considered when:
-
Skin relaxation becomes noticeable
-
Body changes alter breast proportions
-
Personal preferences evolve
Planning with this reality in mind reduces disappointment.
Setting realistic expectations
A successful breast lift should:
-
Look natural at rest
-
Feel comfortable in the body
-
Age gradually
-
Maintain proportion over time
Expecting permanence is not a reasonable expectation.
Final perspective
Longevity after a breast lift is not about permanence; it is about how gracefully results evolve.
By prioritizing proper positioning, controlled tension, and realistic planning, Dr. Smith creates breast-lift outcomes that remain balanced, comfortable, and appropriate as the body changes.
A private consultation provides the opportunity to discuss long-term expectations, durability, and future planning with honesty and clarity.
-
Timing matters as much as technique
A breast lift can be a powerful, confidence-restoring procedure, but only when the timing is right. Choosing surgery too early, for the wrong reasons, or without long-term planning can lead to dissatisfaction, unnecessary revision, or regret.
Dr. Smith believes the right decision is made with clarity, emotional readiness, and respect for the body’s natural timeline.
When a breast lift may be the right step
A breast lift may be appropriate if you:
-
Feel your breasts no longer sit in a comfortable or natural position
-
Notice nipples pointing downward or sitting below the breast fold
-
Are generally satisfied with breast size but unhappy with shape
-
Are seeking restoration rather than dramatic change
-
Understand and accept the presence of scars
In these situations, a lift can restore balance and confidence.
Waiting may be the better choice
Sometimes the most responsible recommendation is to pause.
Waiting may be appropriate if:
-
You are planning a pregnancy or breastfeeding in the near future
-
Your weight is actively changing
-
You are unsure whether you want added volume
-
You feel pressured by timing, comparison, or external expectations
-
You are not prepared for recovery
A thoughtful delay might be the right choice.
Emotional readiness matters
A breast lift should not be a reaction to:
-
Temporary dissatisfaction
-
Social comparison
-
Life transitions that have not settled
Surgery is best considered when decisions feel calm rather than urgent.
Lifestyle and recovery considerations
Recovery requires planning.
Patients should consider:
-
Time off work and daily responsibilities
-
Support during early healing
-
Activity restrictions during recovery
-
Willingness to prioritize healing over routine
Choosing the right time reduces stress and improves the experience.
Long-term perspective
A breast lift resets breast position; it does not stop aging.
Dr. Smith discusses:
-
How breasts may change over time
-
The possibility of future revision
-
How size and skin quality affect longevity
Understanding the future helps patients make informed decisions in the present.
How Dr. Smith approaches this decision
Dr. Smith views consultation as a decision-making space.
Recommendations may include:
-
Proceeding with a lift
-
Combining a lift with augmentation
-
Waiting until timing or goals are clearer
-
Choosing not to operate
Each option is valid when chosen intentionally.
Final perspective
The right time for a breast lift is when the decision feels informed, unpressured, and aligned with your body and life.
By prioritizing timing, readiness, and long-term outcomes, Dr. Smith helps patients choose surgery only when it is truly warranted.
A private consultation provides the opportunity to explore this decision with honesty and care, without obligation.
-
Understanding the trade-offs, healing process, and what recovery really involves
A breast lift is both a structural and skin-based procedure. Incisions and recovery are not side notes; they are central to the experience and the outcome.
Dr. Smith approaches breast lift surgery with a focus on appropriate incision design, controlled tension, and supported healing.
Incisions: why they are necessary
Breast sagging occurs when the skin and internal support structures stretch beyond their capacity to maintain the breast's position.
To restore shape and nipple position, surgery must:
-
Remove excess skin
-
Reposition the nipple and breast mound
-
Rebuild internal support
Each of these steps requires incisions. The goal is not to eliminate scars, but to place them strategically and allow them to heal under minimal tension.
Common breast lift incision patterns
Incision patterns are selected based on anatomy and the required degree of correction.
Periareolar (around the areola)
-
Used for mild sagging
-
Limited reshaping ability
-
Scar blends with the areolar border
Vertical (lollipop)
-
Used for moderate sagging
-
Allows improved shaping and lift
-
Includes a vertical scar below the areola
Anchor (inverted-T)
-
Used for significant sagging or heavy breasts
-
Provides the most control over shape
-
Includes a scar in the breast fold
More extensive sagging requires more extensive correction, and therefore more scarring.
Why tension control matters
Scar quality is influenced more by tension during healing than by incision length.
Over-tightening skin can:
-
Widen scars
-
Compromise healing
-
Distort breast shape
-
Reduce long-term stability
Dr. Smith prioritizes controlled shaping over aggressive tightening.
Early recovery: days 1–7
During the first week after surgery, patients commonly experience:
-
Swelling and firmness
-
Soreness or tightness in the chest
-
Fatigue
-
Limited arm movement
Rest, proper support garments, and adherence to post-operative instructions are essential during this phase.
Intermediate recovery: weeks 2–6
As healing progresses:
-
Swelling gradually decreases
-
Incisions begin to soften
-
Energy levels improve
-
Light activity may resume as advised
Breasts may change shape subtly during this period as tissues settle.
Ongoing healing: months 2–12
Long-term healing continues well beyond the initial recovery.
Patients may notice:
-
Continued scar softening and fading
-
Gradual breast settling
-
Improved comfort and mobility
Final results develop over several months.
Scar healing timeline
Scars evolve gradually.
-
Early scars may appear red, pigmented or firm
-
Over months, scars soften and lighten
-
Full maturation can take a year or longer
Judging scars too early often leads to unnecessary concern.
Supporting recovery and healing
Patients are supported with:
-
Clear recovery guidelines
-
Activity restrictions to protect incisions
-
Scar care recommendations when appropriate
-
Regular follow-up to monitor healing
Healing is a partnership that requires patience and consistency.
Final perspective
Breast lift recovery is not about rushing back to normal; it is about allowing the body to heal well.
By accepting the need for incisions, respecting recovery timelines, and prioritizing controlled healing, Dr. Smith helps patients achieve stable, balanced, and long-lasting outcomes.
A private consultation provides the opportunity to discuss incision options, recovery planning, and healing expectations in detail, without pressure or minimization.

Breast lift surgery may be performed in an accredited office-based surgical center, outpatient or ambulatory surgical facility, or a hospital. Be sure to arrange for someone to drive you to and from surgery and to stay with you for at least the first night following surgery.
Be sure to ask Dr. Smith questions. It's very important to understand all aspects of your breast lift procedure. It's natural to feel some anxiety, whether it's excitement or a bit of preoperative stress. Don't be shy about discussing these feelings with Dr. Smith.
Recovery After Surgery
After your breast lift procedure is completed, dressings or bandages will be applied to the incisions. You'll need to wear an elastic bandage or support bra to minimize swelling and support your breasts as they heal.
You will be given specific instructions that may include how to care for your breasts following surgery, medications to apply or take orally to aid healing and reduce the potential for infection, specific concerns to look for at the surgical site or in your general health, and when to follow up with Dr. Smith.
Be sure to ask Dr. Smith specific questions about what you can expect during your individual recovery period.
Where will I be taken after my surgery is complete?
What medication will I be given or prescribed after surgery?
Will I have dressings/bandages after surgery?
When will they be removed?
Are stitches removed? When?
When can I resume normal activity and exercise?
When do I return for follow-up care?

Results
The results of your breast lift surgery are immediately visible. Over time, post-surgical swelling will resolve and incision lines will fade. Satisfaction with your new image should continue to grow as you recover from surgery. The final results of your breast lift will appear over the next few months as breast shape and position continue to settle. Incision lines are permanent but will continue to fade over time.
The results of your breast lift surgery will be long lasting. Over time, your breasts can continue to change due to aging and gravity. You'll be able to retain your new look longer if you:
Maintain your weight
Keep a healthy lifestyle
Breast surgery is often best entertained after child bearing is completed. Changes that occur in the breasts during pregnancy can minimize or reverse the improvement a breast lift provides. Likewise, significant weight loss after breast surgery can negatively impact breast appearance.
Following your physician's instructions is essential to the success of your surgery. It's important that the surgical incisions are not subjected to excessive force, swelling, abrasion, or motion during the time of healing. Dr. Smith will give you specific instructions on how to care for yourself.

I have nothing but good things to say about Dr. Smith and his team at The Ottawa Clinic. Throughout the entire process, Dr. Smith has been compassionate, genuine and so attentive. He is very easy to talk to and listens patiently to my questions and concerns. He has always been on time, I've never felt rushed during appointments, and his Patient Care Coordinator, Sarah, is extremely pleasant to deal with. The recovery itself was relatively easy, although I was quite bruised and swollen. I experienced mild discomfort, but never felt any pain. The process was not as bad as I had anticipated - I only wish I had done it years ago!! I was looking for a very natural nose and my results are above and beyond what I had hoped for. Dr. Smith is a very skilled surgeon and I'm so thankful I found him. I can't recommend him enough!
Breast Augmentation 5.0/5 — August 18, 2025 Dr. Smith is absolutely amazing, he is the most skilled surgeon in Ottawa and along with that he also has great bedside manner. I met a few surgeons for consults before I met Dr. Smith, for my breast augmentation. None of them were as thorough, knowledgable, kind, or positive as he was. From our first consult I knew I wanted him to be my surgeon. His team is also AMAZING. They are supportive, quick to respond and they help you through the whole process, before and after. I am almost 3 months post surgery now and I couldn’t have dreamed of better results. He gave me exactly what I wanted. I can’t recommend him enough, he is the best surgeon in Ottawa hands down!!!
Upper and Lower Blepharoplasty 5.0/5 — November 22, 2024 Dr. Smith is an excellent surgeon and has a great personality. I had blepharoplasty ( upper and lower eyelid) and after couple of weeks it looked really good and even better now after two months. Dr Smith is knowledgeable and well skilled and make you at ease and answers all your questions and concerns. Him and his team ( Sarah) and others are all professional and very pleasant. Abdominoplasty / Tummy Tuck 5.0/5 — October 22, 2021 I went to Dr. Sean Smith for an abdominoplasty (tummy tuck), I cannot be more thrilled with the results! From start to finish, he and his team made me feel comfortable with no pressure at all. Both the clinic and the private surgery location are clean and modern with ample free parking. About me, after the delivery of two children, I felt self-conscious of my body especially the abdominal pouch that hung over my waist. Even through eating healthy and exercising there was no way that the extra skin and sag would ever disappear naturally. I hated the way that my belly would be exposed in yoga classes to the point that I didn’t want to go the gym or even bother to exercise anymore – it felt pointless. I felt ashamed of my body and would make excuses to my kids why I didn’t want to go swimming, and felt disgusted with my appearance in photos. I would hide myself in loose-fitting baggy clothing and that made me feel even worse emotionally. Cosmetic surgery always seemed to me about the rich and famous. Something for extremely vain people, and I thought it was a waste of money. I can assure you that this is not the case. I made the decision to book a consultation with The Ottawa Clinic and it has literally changed my perspective and mental health. Dr. Smith started the conversation by assessing my expectations and assuring me that I was a good candidate for the procedure. He was kind and patient with all of my questions and concerns. Sarah, the Patient Care Coordinator, was also extremely responsive and helpful for all of the administrative details regarding my procedure. The surgery itself was done at the Gatineau location, which is an easy drive from Ottawa. I was understandably nervous, but all of the supportive personnel made me feel more relaxed. Dr. Smith was excited and enthusiastic and again made me feel at ease and comfortable with the decision to proceed. It has now been over six weeks since the surgery and I am so happy! I feel confident in my body in a way that hasn’t happened since my early 20s. I look at myself and I feel good and am excited to start a new exercise regime. I can’t wait for the summer to go swimming with my kids – and not just any bathing suit it’s a bikini! In the meantime, I’m happy walking around the house in crop tops! This surgery isn’t about vanity, it’s about your mental health and feeling good about yourself. My only regret is that I waited so long to make that call to Dr. Smith. I highly recommend his services.
Rhinoplasty 5.0/5 — April 1, 2023 In the summer of 2022 I met with Dr.Smith to inquire about rhinoplasty surgery. I was curious and equally nervous about proceeding. It was not until I met with Dr.Smith that I felt confident and safe in my decision to proceed. Dr. Smith met my questions with his own questions so that there was a complete understanding of what I wanted to achieve from this surgery and what I should expect. And he exceeded my expectations!!! In November 2022 I had my surgery. I am three months post opt and I feel INCREDIBLE! And it looks INCREDIBLE! The bridge of my nose is smooth, the tip is softer and of course my nose is smaller. And yet the change is some how subtle. Which is what I wanted . I still look like ME! This was a large concern of mine because I didn’t want to look like a different person. Or over done for that matter. The day my cast was removed I was reminded that I would not see the final results until a year but I was struck with joy when I seen my nose for the first time. There was swelling and a small scar but I could still clearly see what changes had been made and where my recovery was as headed. I am amazed. Truly a dream come true. I highly recommend Dr. Smith for any of your cosmetic needs. He is incredibly talented, professional and kind.
Mommy Makeover 5.0/5 — July 24, 2026 Choosing Dr. Sean Smith for my mommy makeover was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. From my very first consultation, I knew I was in the right place. Dr. Smith was patient, honest, and took the time to understand exactly what I was hoping to achieve. He explained every part of the procedure thoroughly and made me feel comfortable and confident moving forward. My surgery included a tummy tuck, liposuction, and a breast lift with implants. Going into surgery, I expected the recovery to be difficult, but it turned out to be much easier than I had imagined. I experienced very little pain, had no complications whatsoever, and my healing process was smooth from beginning to end. The level of care I received before and after surgery was exceptional, and I always felt supported by Dr. Smith and his wonderful team. After losing 35 pounds, I had accomplished something I was incredibly proud of, but I still wasn’t happy with the changes my body had gone through. Dr. Smith helped me complete that journey. The results are beyond anything I had hoped for. My abdomen is beautifully contoured, my breasts look natural and balanced, and everything fits my body perfectly. What stands out most is Dr. Smith’s attention to detail. He doesn’t just perform surgery—he creates results that look elegant, natural, and personalized to each patient. His confidence, experience, and genuine care gave me complete peace of mind throughout the entire process. I am incredibly grateful to Dr. Smith and his entire team for making this such a positive experience. They exceeded my expectations in every way, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone considering cosmetic surgery. If I had to make the decision again, I would choose Dr. Smith without a second thought.
Breast Augmentation 5.0/5 — April 19, 2024 I had breast augmentation with Dr. Sean Smith, and I am extremely happy with the results. After 8 weeks post-surgery, I can confidently say he is professional and his work is beyond perfect. The pain level was minimal, only 2 out of 10, and my recovery took just 5 days before I was back to work. My breasts are symmetric, and I love the stitches—no scars or pigmentation issues. I highly recommend Dr. Smith for his exceptional skills and care!
